I am such a huge lush addict so with 2 collections coming out in the space of a month I was pretty excited for my march haul. In the past month we have been given the Mothers Day collection and the Easter collection so I was psyched to get my hands on some of the new additions.
Rose Bombshell Bath Bomb - £3.95 (Mothers Day)
The Rose Bombshell is a Rose & Lemon scented bath bomb that leaves your water a dusky pink. It's not a particularly exciting bomb to look at but it does release yellow petals once the bomb has dissolved and it packs a punch with the scent. I had the Rose Bombshell from last year and to be honest with you, I think I preferred that. It wasn't as fun to look at but the overall experience with last years I just enjoyed more. I would also add that I think there has been some issue with the actual formulation of this bath bomb this year as all the ones in my local store were crumbling and as you can see from the photo mine had deteriorated considerably,
Ladybird Bubble Bar - £3.95 (Mothers Day)
The Ladybird Bubble Bar smells exactly like a blackcurrant flavoured cold medicine, which is surprising as it actually has nothing at all to do with blackcurrants. The ingredients are Geranium oil and Peppermint oil and there is definitely a sweet, medicinal quality about the smell of this bubble bar. This bar creates soft bubbles and a orangey maroon coloured bath.
Flowering Tea Reusable Bubble Bar - £4.95 (Mothers Day)
This incredibly floral offering for Mothers Day was one of the products that I was most excited about. I've yet to try a Reusable Bubble Bar so I was quite excited about this one because firstly it's tea based (tea is life) and secondly its one of the most affordable Reusable Bubble Bars lush has come out with as usually they sit at around £6.95. The scent of this is very grassy, its a natural flower smell as opposed to "your Gran's favourite perfume" floral. The actual bath itself isn't anything massively exciting as this doesn't colour the bath but it does dispose some petals into the water after the 2nd or 3rd use.
Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb - £2.95
This is not usually a scent that I would go for as "snow fairy" style scents aren't my thing. To me this smells like if you added a tonne of citrus to snow fairy. It's not quite as sweet as the usual Christmas Snow Fairy but instead there is some kind of citrus note that freshens the whole mix and stops it from being repulsive to me. That being said I couldn't use an entire one of these in one go as the smell would be to much but I will probably end up using this with one of my plainer bath bombs to give some pink sweetness to the mix.
Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt - £3.95
Imagine a product that smells like toffee with a hint of orange and you have the smell of Golden Egg. This is by far my favourite smelling product of the Easter collection but there is one monumental downfall.... the glitter. Now I was expecting Sunnyside style glitter but this is a whole new level of sparkle. The fallout of glitter with this is crazy, you can't put it anywhere without being covered in glitter. That being said I cannot wait to try this out in my bath as I think it's going to be an amazing bath experience.
Avobath Bath Bomb - £3.50
Now for a couple that aren't in the limited edition ranges, AvoBath is one that I've been eyeing up for awhile but never went for it. As Spring is setting in I decided to go ahead and purchase this citrusy ball of loveliness. The scent is lemongrass with bergamot and is such a refreshing spring scent it makes me happy just sniffing it. It turns the bath a pale mint green and it just a really nice experience.
You've Been Mangoed Bath Melt - £2
I've never been a huge fan of the Bath Melts, I never really want oil in my bath but after my housemate raving about them and smelling this little beauty I couldn't resist. Mango is my favourite fruit by far and this just smells heavenly.... but nothing like Mango. This has a strong citrus, zesty scent that I absolutely adore. It reminds me somewhat of Fizzbanger and it really is a delight. This releases a mango & avocado butter to moisturise and nourish the skin and leaves you feeling super smooth and soft when you get out of the bath.
I love the avobath bomb! I need to get some more bath bombs from lush as I'm starting to run low. That ladybird looks adorable, and I love the idea of the flowering tea reusable bubble bar. Think I'm going to have to a purchase very soon! :)
