February Fitness Check-In

WERE DID FEBRUARY GO?!
No seriously, where?
I'm not kidding. Bring me my missing days.

I honestly feel like I blinked and now February is almost over. It's sad because I have so much to do and I feel like I've barely tackled it. Life has been hectic recently and I've faced some challenges with blogging daily this month so lets see how I've got on with the fitness.

My goals for February were:
  • 3-4 walks a week with Soph
  • Eat well
  • Try to do Yoga in the evenings.
How did I do?
- Soph and I did manage the 3 walks a week goal and we are both loving it at the moment. I wrote a post all about the experience and the benefits here
- I've been making a concerted effort to eat better and have decided to go veggie for the remainder of time I am at university. I have made this choice as I find it easier to eat well when meat is out of the picture and it is also much cheaper!!
- Okay, so it couldn't all be great could it?! Yoga did not happen. However, I have restarted Pilates and I'm feeling good about it  (well as good as you can when your entire body is aching.)

March Goals:
  • Continue the walks.
  • Continue eating well.
  • At least 5 Pilates work outs a week.
  • At least 1 Green Tea a day.
  • Ditch the fizzy drinks!!
I think that's enough to be challenging myself with for the next month! I hope your fitness journeys are going well and if you have any advice on how to get fitter feel free to leave it in the comments below!!

  1. That sounds great so far, well done! Last year I tried to get fit by doing yoga but it wasn't really for me - what I'm doing now is working out every morning, it is a great way to start the day and makes me feel better about myself. I started by doing 10 different exercises and I slowly started to add more, now I'm doing about 16. Another thing I find helpful is having at least one cheat day a week. xx

  3. It's hard to stick to goals - I find that my evenings go so quickly I always forget to exercise lol! Glad to hear the walks are going well!
