30 Day Snap! Day 25!

Hey guys!


Here's day 25 of the 30 day snap! (It's almost over now!) 


I started knitting this blanket earlier this year, my mum had taught me to knit when I was younger and I really got into it but then as I turned into a teen, it became less 'cool' and so I stopped. But this year I was sorting through my wardrobe and came across my bag of wool and knitting patterns (courtesy of The Art of Knitting) and I thought I would start it back up again and see how I get on with it.

As you can see I've completed 18 squares (and another 2 that are in the bag) and I need to do 90 squares to finish the blanket, but this is my challenge to have it finished before Christmas. 

It might not be the most interesting hobby but its something that my mum taught me and her mum taught her and so on, and so I think its only right I carry on the tradition :)

    Iv heard knitting has become really popular again my mum tsught me when i was younger but i dont think i would have the patience. This is beautiful by the way.

    i can crochet and make lots of things for my baby boy, im not the best but i made it so i love his little blankets all the more. i used to have a few people say i was boring and a nana because i learnt in my teens x

      I always think home-made things are so much more special! I always get told I'm an old lady for knitting by my friends, but I don't really care to be honest, it just makes me a little bit different from the crowd! :)
