Get Your Christmas On With Lush

Christmas is a time when Lush really up their game and pull out the big dogs. I don't know about you but to me there is nothing better than getting in a gloriously sparkling bath that smells both sweet and spicy and just remaining there for a good hour with a book; blissfully unaware of the Christmas-based-chaos that's occurring all around you.

If I was to talk about all of my favourite Christmas Lush products from over the years I would be typing for the next millennia so to keep things short I've written about the products that are new to me this year and that I'm excited to try out myself over the Christmas period.

  • First off lets talk about that stunning star above - this is Star Dust and is priced at a very reasonable £2.95 making it one of the cheaper festive options. Star Dust has a predominantly Vanilla scent that is complimented with Rosewood & Bergamot Oils. It is a white bath bomb and will not create any crazy colours in your bath but what It will do is expel tiny little multicoloured stars into the bath water which makes for a pretty sight.
  • Here we have Peeping Santa priced at £3.95 which is about average for the bubble bars. As you can see this adorable little guy is mostly red with a white creamy (Shea) filling. This creates a bright red bath that some may be put off by but to be honest I'm not really that bothered by the colour of my baths, I'm more interested in the smell! This smells like fake Strawberries. Which makes it sound bad but honestly it's so nice, it smells just like sweets. If you aren't overly fond of sickly sweet baths then this is not for you.

  • I'm sorry. Sometimes a good bath comes before blog photography. I'm only human. This little decapitated fellow is Butterbear the cheapest of the collection at only £1.95! Personally I think this is as close to a chocolate bath bomb that you can ever get. It has Cocoa powder and Cocoa butter that nourish the skin and make you feel like you've been soaking in body butter when you step out of the bath (in the nicest way possible of course).

  • Here is one that is completely new to me and I am yet to use it. The Salt and Peppermint Bark Shower Scrub priced at £5.95, smells pretty much exactly like candy canes and that's what compelled me to buy it. I have a love/hate relationship with Shower scrubs and I rarely ever use them because I can never seem to wash all the little gritty bits away no matter how long I try. I am hoping that this will solve that issue and I will love the product as much as I love the scent.

  • There always has to be one exception to the rule and for me that is So White. This is not a new bath bomb to me but it's one I had to buy. So White is priced at £3.65 which makes it a little pricier than some of the other bath bombs but I feel it is completely justified. The scent is sharp apple and it is delicious. It also turns your bath water the perfect rosy pink which is the ultimate 'imma going to get in this bath and stay here forever' colour.

  • Last but by no means least is the oh so festive Snow Angel a bath melt that is priced at a reasonable £3.95. I find that I can get a lot of uses out of bath melts so this is bound to last for ages. It smells divine with the base note of Rose Absolute that makes the bath smell like a cross between Marzipan and Turkish Delight. A sure winner this winter.

That is all for today's post! I'm currently sat in bed writing this at 2.49am so if there are any mistakes when you read this then tough, but hopefully there won't be. I'm feeling a tad rambling this evening so the post is probably more drawn out then usual as well, I'm not even sure why I'm including this bit to be honest but hey it's my blog!

Anyway ramble aside, I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what your favourite winter Lush products are in the comments below.

  1. Ohhh, I'm in love with Lush bath products lately. I'm so excited to try So White in a gift box I just got. I think my favourite so far has been the santa bath bomb that has green insides. Amazing!

  2. I love the Lush range! I'm actually a bit of a Lush newbie, I only hopped on this bandwagon a couple of months ago and I am so in love haha! Snow Fairy & the magic wand bubble bar are my favourites because the smell reminds me of Calpol (which is weird, I know!), but that Star bath bomb sounds amazing- I want tiny stars in my bath!!

    1. Haha! That's the reason I'm not fond of snow fairy! I've never been a Calpol fan and it definitely reminds me of it! Who doesn't want tiny stars in their bath!! :D Thanks for reading! xx
