Yeah so stress and my skin aren't best mates right now. Excuse the mahousive ugly break outs but hey that's life! I thought I would share with you guys my lazy morning routine for the days when I don't have to leave the house and I just want to look acceptable at best (Which lets be honest is more often then not at the moment whilst I'm not at Uni!)
1. First off I cleanse my face with a gentle wash to wake myself up and get rid of those pesky spot creating oils. I really like Elemis Fresh Skin Peachy Perfect Gentle Face Wash* as it is free from SLS and Parabens so it leaves your skin clean but not stripped.
2. I then wipe my face with a cotton pad soaked in toner. I swap up my toners quite often but today I felt like using Dr Jart+ V7 Balancing Toner. There is a lot of differing opinions on whether toners are actually any use or whether your effectively just putting scented water on your face but I like toners so I will keep this step.
3. As my skin is so cruddy I use La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo [+] before I put on my makeup in order to help clear my skin and to create a great base for makeup.
4. Again because my skin is hideous I use a treatment gel to help clear up anything that is erupting. I really like Elemis FreshSkin Skin Clear Treatment Gel* it helps to reduce the size and colour of any pimples that are emerging.
5. When I'm not up to much I like to have a light coverage that doesn't make my face feel to cakey. I opt for Caudalie Vinoperfect Tinted Moisturiser in the shade 01 Light and some Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 01. This gives me a nice light coverage but also allows me to disguise some of the pesky blemishes.
6. I like to set my base with Soap & Glory's One Heck Of A Blot Powder. It is hands down the best face Powder I've used and I will keep repurchasing this.
8. Obviously the next step is for some mascara. I think mascara is essential everyday regardless of the rest of your face you will always look 10x better with a touch of mascara! I'm using a sample of Laura Mercier Mascara. I like it so far but probably wouldn't purchase the full size.
9. The last step in my morning routine is Lip Balm, my lips are eternally dry so this is a must for me. Again like the toner I tend to swap these around and this time I just felt like using the Vaseline Lip Therapy but I often use EOS balms or Lanolips instead!
That's all for today's post! I hope you enjoyed it and don't forget to let me know what you think in the comments below.
