This has probably been my most requested post ever and I am super excited to share it with you!
I started Bullet Journalling in April as a way of organising myself and providing myself with a creative outlet and it soon took over my life. Not a day goes by when I don't look at my bullet journal and I pretty much solely rely on it to keep me organised and a functioning human being.
The book I chose was a dotted Leuchtturm1917 in Pink. I spent weeks looking around shops trying to find one until I finally found the perfect journal in my local Fenwicks store and grabbed it without hesitation.
I feel like the easiest way to show you my journal is through photos be prepared for a lot of photos and some explanation along the way!
This is my index, its a little scruffy but it works for me.
Here is my Key. Pretty much every bullet journal will have one, I don't stick to this religiously but I do refer to it in my weekly lay-outs. I drew the mandala by hand and I'm really proud of it.
This is one of my favourite pages- my TBR list for Summer. I'm not expecting to read all of these books but I'm definitely planning on making a good dent in this list and re-evaluating the situation in winter!
Probably my favourite thing about Bullet Journalling is being able to track my habits. I've found this a really useful task and its definitely eye-opening. As you can see I've been really lazy with my skincare this month but waking up early everyday has been going really well!
I'm also really enjoying tracking my Blog Statistics. I try not to get to obsessed with numbers but I really like just tallying up the new followers each month and seeing how far I've progressed :)
Here I've got a bit of a mixed spread. The page on the left is my wishlist - usually things that I don't immediately need but would rather like if I have some spare money. The right hand page is my list of countries I would like to travel to. I plan on creating memory pages dedicated to each country as I visit them. Both pages are still WIP though so don't be shocked at their general barreness.
Here is how I lay out my weekly spread. This is from the first week that I did it and it's not changed. My lay-out is heavily influenced by Boho Berry so check out her blog and YouTube as her journal is GOALS.
This is my delivery page, I like to keep track of any deliveries I've got coming in (as you can see I don't have many at the moment!) this will definitely be more useful when I have money, as I will probably start ordering copious amounts of clothes to make up for the lack of purchases over my 3 years at Uni!
My skincare page is one of my favourites purely down to the fact that I designed it in its entirety. It was something that I felt I needed but hadn't seen any one else do. I've left my evening serum slot open as I'm always testing out new ones and never settle on one enough to think "that's a go to all else fails product". If you have any recommendations for an evening serum (for oily spot prone skin) leave a comment! All of the other items on my skincare routine are tried and tested products that are my go-to automatic products that I use everyday.
Here we've got one of my blog spreads. Despite how much I like it aesthetically it didn't work for me so I definitely need to rethink this and perhaps come up with something more flexible whilst I'm trying to get back on my feet with blogging.
This is actually a spread that may have saved my degree. I have always had a s.l.i.g.h.t. issue with my grammar. Now don't get me wrong, I am an avid reader and very articulate to talk to, yet sometimes my grammar lets me down. I know this and I know that it is primarily due to lack of it being taught at a young age, and laziness in adulthood to pick myself up on it. I've also picked up some bad habits through blogging as I like to type casually and my writing tends to come out like the spoken word, which isn't ideal for university essays. Soooooo cutting an increasingly long story short, as a third year English Lit Student I had to reteach myself basic grammar. I felt pretty shit about that so I wrote one of my favourite motivational quotes on the opposite page to cheer myself up.
So this is one of my most useful pages. I always forget when the chats are so I try to remind myself of my favourites and of course I will add on new ones that are fun as they pop up!
I'm a sucker for a good list and this is a fave. I like to see how many books I've read this year and I think this will help to keep me on track for my 52 books!
Similar theme, here's my book wishlist. In reality there's SO many more but I'm trying to be restrained and not buy to many. I have around 60 on my TBR pile so I really need to get through those before I buy any more.... that being said you can see the boxes I've checked off so it's not going brilliantly haha!
I'm very proud of this page.... purely because it took me about 4 hours. No joke. I spent so much time copying this out but it's been super worth it. I really like the blogilates pilates routines and I highly recommend you check it out!
Here is my savings goals page. This looks pretty blank at the moment as I don't have a job yet (unemployed graduate woop woop) so I can't exactly save when I don't have any money to put aside! *cough* someone employ me *cough*. These are my goals for the next couple of years, some are short term personal goals such as Driving Lessons & MacBook Pro Fund, whilst the others are shared with my boyfriend, with the Holiday Fund and Own Home Fund being long-term saving goals we have set ourselves.
Finally, we have my April Memories page. It's kind of an exercise of mindfulness for me and is about looking back over the past month and appreciating everything that happened. This one isn't actually finished yet but I will make it a priority to complete it before I have to start on the May Memories page!
So that is the grand tour of my Bullet Journal! Thank you so much to everyone that has asked for this post. I hope it lived up to expectations! I'm still working out the kinks in my journalling but I'm really enjoying just having fun with it and not taking it too seriously.
If you have any Bullet Journal posts please link them in the comments as I would love to read them!
