ROTM - January - Sali Hughes "Pretty Honest"

This is one of my favourite posts to write each month. I am an avid reader as many of you may know if you were around last summer when I got a little bit cray on the reading front.... about 30 books in 2-3 months.

Sadly this month due to a massive surge of university reading (the joys of an English Literature degree) I've not had time to finish the casual book I'm currently reading. But I have been picking up Sali Hughes "Pretty Honest" again and again this month. I have already binge read this last year (I read it cover to cover in two hours) and it is a book that I frequently pick up to have a little browse through a chapter when I feel like it.

Chapters I particularly recommend are:
-Your Daily Skincare Routine
-Acne
-Red Lipstick

The idea of this book is to be a comprehensive manual of all things beauty and Sali is an expert in this field; her blog www.salihughesbeauty.com is a mecca for all things beauty and I personally LOVE her writing style, it's the perfect combination of sass and well informed bossiness to get you through whatever beauty mishap you have found yourself in.
"Pretty Honest" is a charming mix of advice, instruction and hilarity to make it a really quick and enjoyable read. I would highly recommend this for any beauty lover or really just anyone. I do think every woman should have a copy of this book as it is phenomenal and Sali's writing is just wonderful.
