If I could only purchase two products from Lush for the rest of my life, this would be one of them. The other would be Superbalm but I will be writing a post about that later on this month.
This absolutely disgusting looking paste has single handedly helped to control and clear up my stress spots when they were at their worst last year. Lets start with a little story.
Around October/November time my stress levels were at an all time high. I put a lot of pressure on myself to do well at University (particularly because I royally fucked up second year!) and it all got on top of me. For some unknown reason when I get stressed my body goes into complete meltdown which saw me breaking out in loads of blind spots and pimples all over my cheeks and chin, making my scalp unbearably dry, flaky and itchy meaning that I was washing my hair every single day in order to just be able to sleep, and I managed to pick up a nice little case of flu. So as you can imagine I wasn't in a good way.
After one particularly upsetting day I had finally had enough and completely broke down to my ever so patient boyfriend. He suggested that we went into town the following day and got whatever I needed to sort it out and he actually suggested that we look in lush as he knew they were all natural.
And that is how I found this little beauty. After walking into Lush and being greeted by a lovely girl, I then proceeded to pour my heart out about my skin and scalp and basically asked for a miracle cure. This girl was so understanding and helpful and I wish I could remember her name to give her a mention because she put me at ease immediately and made me feel like I didn't look like a massive mong (which I clearly did at the time). She recommended I tried out Herbalism and I haven't looked back since.
The texture is like a course dry paste that once you add water to it becomes a milky scrub, the scrubby particles are ground almonds which gently exfoliate without tearing at the skin and they are good for the environment (so win win on that one).
The real winner with this though is the ingredients list:
Ground Almonds,
Kaolin,
Nettles,
Rosemary.
Rice Bran Vinegar
&
Chamomile Oil
Yes, you read that right. Vinegar. I was sceptical at first too and I will be honest this product has a very love/hate smell to it. I quite like it as to me its got a natural smell, but my entire family HATES it and thinks the smell is repulsive so it's definitely a try before you buy kind of deal (or at least smell it) If you can get past the smell though I thoroughly recommend this product if you are having issues with spots or acne. It has fast become a holy grail product and I honestly don't know how my skin would cope without it!
You can grab hold of a 100g pot from Lush for £6.95 and my little pot has lasted me a good 2-3 months as you only need to use a small amount so as far as affordability goes I think it's great!
I tried this cleanser a while ago and I wasn't a fan - I'll stick to the angels on bare skin cleanser x

I think Lush Cleansers are very love/hate! Some work for some people and not for others! Thanks for reading Heather :) xx
