Alpha-H Balancing and Pore Refining Mask

No skincare routine would be complete without a good face mask. My current obsession is this little
tube of wonder. The Alpha-H Balancing and Pore Refining Mask is without a doubt one of the nicest face masks I've had the pleasure to use. I was very lucky to receive this in a set of 5 Alpha-H products as a gift for Christmas and this is one of the major stand outs for me.

The mask is clay based and contains zinc, lavender and the ingredient that Alpha-H is most known for Glycolic Acid. This creates a mask that is anti-bacterial, prevents spots, aids healing, gets deep into those pores but doesn't leave your skin feeling uncomfortable and dry.

I have irritating Combination skin that has the typical oily t-zone and dry cheeks and forehead. As well as this I get the occasional spot or two, mainly on my chin and jaw bone.

This mask is thick but not drying, it smells strongly like lavender and abit medicated, but I personally don't have a problem with that as it makes me think it's going to be doing some actual good! I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin, but anyone with oily prone skin grab this ASAP.

I only use this on a weekly basis as its pretty darn strong but I will usually apply a thin layer of this on a Sunday night to cleansed dry skin, leave it whilst I have a shower for 10 minutes, then wash it off with a warm damp flannel. I follow it up with a balancing moisturiser and that's my Sunday evening routine in a nutshell.

Honestly this stuff is lovely and if you fancy making a splurge on a face mask this is definately one to give a go! Or if you can find it in a set of mini's like I did then definately give them a try, I honestly feel that with Alpha-H its hard to be disappointed! This stuff does what it says on the tin!

You can purchase the full size of this delight here for £27.50

  1. Great review, I haven't heard much about this and I'm yet to try any skincare bits from Alpha H this mask sounds up my street though, my skin is combination and sounds similar to yours so it might work...quite like that you've described this as having a medicated smell too always feels like it's working more:D x

    1. Thanks!! Alpha H Skincare is very very nice, I thoroughly recommend them. If you can, I would recommend that you get a set of mini's that way you can try out quite a few of their products usually for the same price as one full size :) x
