So if you have been reading from the beginning you may be thinking... 'wait didn't she already do this post?' And if you are then you are indeed correct. However, I wrote this post back in the early days of my blog where my photography was pants and my reviews weren't much better and I thought that my first post really didn't do these products any justice what so ever!
So back in 2012, my boyfriend and I took ourselves off to centreparcs for a relaxing break and whilst we were there we thought we would treat ourselves to a little spa session where we both got facials. This is where my obsession with skincare stems as the lovely therapist recommended that I use these 2 little godsends and my now beloved Elemis Skin Buff. I have been using these almost every single day since and as you can see they have lasted me well!
First off let me tell you about the Cleansing milk, now prior to this I had never used a cleansing milk, although my mum had them, I felt that whenever I used them it made my face feel oily and considering that I have combination skin, oil was not on my agenda! So when I was recommended this my immediate thought was ...eek! But ever the optimist I thought I would give it a try as the professionals do tend to know best! How right I was!
This milk is beautifully creamy with a light floral scent that immediately reminds me of the spa at centreparcs. The bottle is a soft touch plastic in a elegant tear drop shape which holds 400ml of product. It brilliantly takes off every scrap of makeup including waterproof mascara and does not irritate! I apply this with my fingers in circular motions and then wipe off with a dry cotton pad. It leaves my skin feeling moisturised as opposed to greasy and that spa smell lingers.
Now the Tonifying lotion was something I was more familiar with as one of the only things I used in my routine prior to my visit was a Simple 2 in 1 cleanser and toner. The toner has the same luxurious smell and leaves my skin feeling hydrated, clean and fresh! It is in no way oily and feels just like your wiping your face with water! I apply this by pouring a small amount onto a cotton pad and wiping over my entire face and neck after using the cleansing milk and it has improved my skin dramatically since I began using it. At the moment I'm suffering with breakouts on my face but this is thankfully keeping them at bay and helping to heal my skin faster.
Overall I love this duo!
You can purchase them here and here for £22.50 each
