Top 5 Reads!

As you guys may or may not know, I'm a English Literature student! There is nothing I love more than sitting down on my bed, candle lit and book in hand. So I thought it was about time I share with you my Top 5 Reads that I can recommend to you all!

1: The Mayan Prophecy by Steve Alten. Alten's writing is superb in this Sci-Fi novel. The story centres around Michael Gabriel the presumed mad son of an Archaeologist and Dominique Vazquez his new Psychiatrist. Michael has been wrongly incarcerated for Eleven years, but when he meets Dominique their actions will change the fate of the world forever. If your looking for a gripping read that delights the inner nerd then this is a book to pick up!
2: The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. Need I explain the story of this? Not only is it the prequel to the immense Lord of the Rings Trilogy but it tells the story of a simple hobbit named Bilbo Baggins who gets himself involved in the quest to take back the Lonely mountain with the dwarf Thorin and his company.Seriously ... just read it!
3: The Circle by Dave Eggers. A must read for everyone that is obsessed with the internet! The circle is a satirical world that explores the modern age of the internet and technology. It centres around Mae and young women who has just been employed by an exciting company called "The Circle" but everything is not as great as it first seems. A thrilling read that leaves you wanting more.
4: The Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth. I've already raved about this trilogy. It's exciting, action packed and gripping. I couldn't put this book down and was glued to my kindle for days! It centres around Tris and Four and their adventures and struggles through a post-war Chicago, where survival from the factions is key.
5: The Maze Runner by James Dashner. This is another book I have already raved about. It centres around Thomas and his life now he has found himself in this strange place that is surrounded by a maze of moving walls and creatures called "grievers". Another gripping book that keeps you on the edge of your seat right up until the final pages. Be prepared this book leaves you on a cliffhanger so you will want to read the sequel The Scorch Trials as soon as possible!
