The August Birchbox 2014

If you are a regular reader you will know that I subscribe to a monthly beauty box called Birchbox. Birchbox is a subscription service that sends you 5 luxury beauty samples (chosen to suit you) every month for the minimal price of £10 (+P&P)! It makes an exciting day when the box is delivered and you get to try out products that you would perhaps never pick up yourself. Not only that but with each box that is sent to you, you can earn 12 reward points, once you've got 100 you can redeem them for £10 to spend in the Birchbox store... BARGAIN!

August 2014
Number 4 Super Comb Prep & Protect | Full size £20 - This product is designed to condition and detangle hair whilst protecting it from heat and sun damage. It's a pretty good all rounder hair product! I've not yet used this but I have high hopes and will review it once I've given it a go! This sample is worth £3.00
Wild About Beauty Creme Eyeshadow | Full size £13 - This is a product very similar to the Maybelline colour tattoo in concept but sadly not in formulation. I found this product to be fairly dry and difficult to apply. The colour is great but its just not creamy enough. I will keep trying with this but I think I may stick to the Colour Tattoo's as they are a fraction of the price! This is a full size product.
Nude Progenius Omega Treatment Oil | Full size £58 - This oil is to rehydrate and prevent the signs of ageing. It's rich in Omega 3,6,7 and 9 for smooth hydrated skin. I've yet to use this but it will be making an appearance into my night time routine soon! This sample is worth £9.67
Vasanti Brightenup! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator | £26 - I love this exfoliator. It is very similar to Elemis Skin Buff in texture and performance. It smells fresh but not over powering and really cleans your skin without scratching it. This sample is worth £4.34
Supergoop! Daily Correct SPF 35 CC Cream | £32 - I have never tried a CC cream and so I'm really excited by this sample. I'm hoping it will live up to expectations and the Light to Medium shade matches my skin. Although I do think that for really pale girls this may be a tad to dark. This sample is worth £4.09
Lifestyle Extra
The Proposal By Tasmina Perry - I loved the idea of receiving a sample chapter but I'm really not into romance novels and this definately did not float my boat. It has been passed on to my mum to read.

Although this box isn't awful it's not as great as the last two and isn't as exciting!

Overall this months box was worth £34.10 which is actually just under £2 more than last month!
You can't say they aren't worth £12!
