This was a post I was hoping to write up before my holiday, but sadly things got way to hectic and I didn't get round to it, so I thought I would post it now for you guys that are going on holiday and are interested in what I took!
The makeup bag was from Amazon. |
Okay, so first things first, after I've cleansed and toned, SPF and moisturised my face and let it all sink in, I go onto my pre-makeup prep. I first prime my face using a small amount (pea sized) of Harmony Balm, I love this and got it as a sample from GlossyBox, I will definately be repurchasing it! I then go about doing my eyebrows with this little kit my brother brought me for my birthday this year. (Available from
Feelunique)
Okay, so once I've done my prep I actually put on make-up! (Finally!) On holiday I was using the Maybelline Pure BB cream in Medium because it is fairly light on the skin and has Salicylic acid in it to help prevent break outs!
I then go on to do my eye shadow. I only took this palette with me for a week as I don't own alot of eye shadow and this mac quad is perfect for travel and provides pretty much any eye shadow look I want, without alot of fuss.
I then go on to do my eye liner, I use the Nude liner in my waterline to brighten it up and take away any redness, I will use the Loreal Super Liner if I want a cat eye and I use the Scandaleyes if I want more of a smokey eye effect as I tend to smudge it out.
The mascara I use is the Rimmel Lash Accelerator in Brown (a happy accident as I was meant to pick up black but I actually prefer the brown as my lashes are super dark and long anyway so this way they look long but not fake!) I really love this mascara and recommend it to everyone!
For lips, I didn't do much at all. I've only recently got into lipstick and so my collection (of 4) is very limited. For that reason I only took my trusty Apocalips in Celestial and my Garnier Lip SPF (A summer essential that most forget about! You do not want burnt lips girls so pick one up, it also tastes amazing!)
Finally, I have my make-up brushes!
From left to right: 17 Kabuki Brush, Stila Powder Brush, Real Techniques Stippling Brush, Real Techniques Powder Brush, Real Techniques Shadow Brush, Real Techniques Face Brush.
The last 3 brushes I brought as a travel set in the little brush holder/stand. It came so in handy on holiday and kept my brushes safe and dust free!
Well I hope you guys have enjoyed this post and the little look into what I took on holiday with me.
